X-Men: First Class Explain

At a German concentration camp in occupied Poland during 1944, young Erik Lensherr is separated from his parents by Nazi guards. The child’s desperate mind remarkably bends a metal gate until a guard knocks Lensherr unconscious (a recreation of the opening scene of the first X-Men movie). Scientist Sebastian Shaw, who has observed this incident through a window, calls Lensherr up to see him. Placing a metal coin on a desk, he orders Lensherr to use his power to move it. When Lensherr cannot, despite his best efforts, Shaw shoots and kills Lensherr’s mother in front of him. In his rage, Lensherr’s out-of-control magnetic power kills the two guards and destroys two rooms, to Shaw’s delight. Shaw tells Lensherr that they will “have fun” developing the boy’s power.

Around this same time, in a Westchester County, New York, mansion, young Charles Xavier is awoken when he thinks he hears a burglar break in. He heads down to the kitchen and finds a young, shape-shifting girl named Raven Darkhölme, disguised as his mother, who is looking through the fridge for food. Using his mind to talk to Raven, Xavier accuses his “mother” of being an imposter, and asks what it has done with his real mother, as she would not make him a sandwich or hot chocolate. Raven shifts back to her normal, blue-skinned form. Overjoyed to meet someone else “different” like him, Xavier invites her in.

In 1962, Lensherr goes to Switzerland and forces a banker (by ripping out one of the metal fillings in his mouth) to trace a bar of Nazi gold to Shaw’s address in Argentina. In a tavern there patronized by former German soldiers, Lensherr kills three men as he learns that Shaw owns a yacht in Florida. Meanwhile, in England, Xavier has graduated from Oxford and is publishing his thesis on mutation; Raven is now his foster sister and works as a waitress. Simultaneously in Las Vegas, Nevada, CIA agent Moira MacTaggart follows U.S. Army Colonel Hendry into the Hellfire Club, where she sees Shaw, Emma Frost, Riptide and Azazel. Shaw calmly threatens Hendry, telling him that the Colonel should reverse his position on advocating that the U.S. install nuclear missiles in Turkey, a move the government had previously avoided so as not to provoke war with the Soviet Union. When Hendry refuses, Shaw has Riptide demonstrate his power to conjure tornadoes from thin air and hurls Hendry into a wall. Convinced, Shaw has Azazel teleport Hendry to the President’s War Room, where he supports the missile placement in Turkey.

Shaw later meets with Colonel Hendry on his yacht, and refuses to give Hendry his money, at which point Hendry pulls out a grenade and threatens to pull the pin and kill himself and everyone on the boat’s deck. Shaw takes the grenade and pulls the pin himself, and absorbs the blast — Shaw is a mutant, and absorbs energy, which also keeps him young, then taps Hendry, expelling the grenade’s energy into the Colonel, destroying him.

MacTaggart seeks Xavier’s advice on mutation, and takes Xavier and Raven to the CIA to convince the chief that Shaw is a threat. After convincing them that mutants exist, they are to be taken to a covert facility, but first Xavier insists they track down Shaw. Shaw is aboard his yacht relaxing with Frost and Riptide when Lensherr appears. Frost uses her telepathy to pacify Erik and pushes him overboard.

Lensherr attacks Shaw, using the anchors and chains of the yacht to tear the boat apart. When Shaw escapes in a submarine hidden below the upper decks of the boat, Lensherr tries to stop him, his ability to control metal pulling him along in the water. Xavier stops him so that he does not drown, speaking to him telepathically and telling him it’s useless to follow Shaw. Lensherr joins Xavier and Raven at the CIA facility, where they meet Hank McCoy, another mutant that Xavier accidentally outs. McCoy and Xavier use a prototype Cerebro to locate mutants and recruit several of them to train to stop Shaw. During the recruiting process, we also see Xavier and Lensherr trying to talk to Logan (Wolverine) in a bar. He promptly tells them to go to hell, and they walk off.

Shaw plans to meet with a Russian general, but sends Frost instead, who is then captured by Xavier and Lensherr. Lensherr tortures her briefly and Xavier taps into Frost’s mind and finds out that Shaw plans to start a nuclear war between the US and Russia in order to wipe out all normal humans. Back in the US, the CIA facility is attacked by Azazel, Riptide and Shaw, who kill all the guards and agents present. Shaw offers the new mutants to a place on his side, but most of them refuse. He recruits Angel and kills Darwin by forcing him to ingest a massive amount of energy when he tries to fight back. When Lensherr and Xavier return they all go to Xavier’s mansion and begin to train, though Raven is conflicted about hiding her natural form. Hank creates a vaccine that is supposed to turn his and Raven’s appearance normal, however, when Hank takes it there are unexpected side effects: his mutant physical features are enhanced; he now has blue skin, blue fur and is several times stronger. The newly assembled X-Men team boards a specialized SR-71 Blackbird jet modified by Hank and fly out to the Caribbean.

President Kennedy institutes a blockade of a Russian fleet in the Caribbean Sea. Shaw travels with the Russian fleet to ensure that the missiles get to Cuba. Xavier, MacTaggart and Lensherr fly to the blockade to stop the fleets from engaging. Wearing a special helmet given him by the Soviets that blocks out telepathic interference, Shaw uses the sub’s nuclear core to charge himself up. While Azazel kills the crew of the Russian missile ship, Xavier uses his powers to make a Russian officer on one of the escort ships fire a missile and destroy the cargo ship carrying the Soviet weapons before it crosses the demarcation line established by the United States.

With Xavier’s help, Lensherr pulls Shaw’s submarine from the water, but an attack by Riptide forces the X-jet and submarine to crash on a nearby beach. Xavier desperately tries to locate Shaw with his telepathic ability but is unable while Shaw is in the reactor room of the sub and wears his helmet. Lensherr goes after Shaw and finds him in the sub’s reactor room. The two battle furiously and the shielding around the chamber cracks, allowing Xavier to locate Shaw. Lensherr tries to overcome Shaw with the metal in the room but Shaw counters with his own telekinesis and pins Lensherr to the wall. Suddenly, Lensherr plucks Shaw’s helmet from his head with a length of cable and Xavier is able to freeze Shaw in place. Lensherr puts on the helmet to block out Xavier’s telepathy and admits that he agrees with everything Shaw believes about mutants and humans and how he never would have developed his power if Shaw hadn’t forced him to. Eric, however, is still vengeful about Shaw’s murder of his mother and kills Shaw by slowly forcing the coin that Shaw taunted him with as a child through his brain while Xavier screams, experiencing the act himself. Eric exits the wrecked submarine with Shaw’s body and announces to his fellow mutants that the humans in both fleets are their real enemies and that the mutants should band together to fight them. Xavier pleads with Eric to end the campaign but he fails.

The two fleets fire their missiles and shells at the mutants on the beach, but Lensherr, now fully in control of his abilities, stops the projectiles in mid-flight and then turns them on the fleet. In the ensuing fight Xavier manages to distract Lensherr, but when MacTaggart fires at Lensherr he deflects the bullets, with one striking Xavier in the lower spine. The missiles and shells all fall into the ocean or explode. Lensherr removes the bullet from Charles’ back but, more furious than before, begins to choke MacTaggart with the chain holding her ID tags, blaming her for Xavier’s injury. Xavier tells Erik that Moira is not the one responsible and Erik relents, realizing he injured his friend. Erik releases Moira, who rushes to Xavier’s side.

Lensherr takes Raven, Angel, Riptide and Azazel and leaves, having convinced them that humans are their enemies. Xavier, now confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life, and his fellow mutants return to the mansion, where he will open a school. He wipes MacTaggart’s memory. MacTaggart reports to her superiors but has nothing to tell them, knowing that Charles had erased her memory of all recent events.

At CIA headquarters, Emma Frost sits alone in a specialized holding cell. The door is suddenly ripped from it’s frame and Erik walks in, his new recruits waiting just outside. He is wearing a new uniform and a newer version of the helmet he’d stolen from Shaw. He tells Frost to call him “Magneto.”

X-Men: First Class Movie Ending Explain

In some ways there’s little drama in making a movie in which Charles Xavier and Magneto as friends and comrades. No matter how many times they buddy back up to each other in the comics, or how many well-intentioned atrocities they each commit, the status quo of the two mutant patriarchs will always tend back toward having them as the best of enemies, archfriends, genial foes. The question in X-Men: First Class is, “What drives them apart this time?”

The short answer is, “The same thing that always drives the pair apart, Pinky.” Erik Lehnsherr (Michael Fassbender) –– he’ll finally call himself “Magneto” in the film’s final scene –– believes in mutant supremacy and the near-inevitability of a conflict between humanity and mutantkind. Xavier (James McAvoy) prefers to work toward the peaceful coexistence of humans and mutants. It’s a tale as old as time — or at least 1963.

The long answer, at least in this film, involves Lehnsherr and Xavier preventing the events of the Cuban Missile Crisis, which the powerful mutant Sebastian Shaw (Kevin Bacon) intends to use to spark World War III and mutant ascendency.

X-Men: First Class splits Charles Xavier and Magneto
Lehnsherr agrees with Shaw’s goals but stops his plan as a matter of personal revenge, since it was Shaw, posing as a Nazi commander, who killed Lehnsherr’s mother at Auschwitz to draw out his mutant powers. He kills a helpless Shaw, over Xavier’s protests. There’s at least a decent argument to be made that Shaw was too dangerous to remain alive, and Xavier is, in a way, complicit with the act of killing him. It’s his telepathy that freezes Shaw in place and shuts down his mutant ability to absorb kinetic energy.

Instead, what Lehnsherr does next represents the schism. The combined forces of the American and Soviet fleets turn their weapons onto the beach where the mutants have fought, seeking to exterminate this new threat. But Lehnsherr stops their shells and missiles in midair, turning them around and sending them back toward the ships. Xavier pleads with him to stop, and physically attacks him, trying to pull off the helmet Lehnsherr took from Shaw that blocks the intrusion of telepaths.

Now the stakes are very high. The conflict seems destined to have one of two endings from which there will be no repairing of their relationship. Xavier would never forget the thousands of innocent deaths if Lehnsherr bombards the ships. Lehnsherr could never forgive Xavier taking direct control of his mind to stop him. But the film chooses a third way: CIA agent Moira MacTaggert (Rose Byrne) emerges from a crashed plane to fire her pistol at Lehnsherr. He easily deflects the bullets with his powers, but one of them strikes Xavier in the lower back, paralyzing him.

It’s his remorse that finally breaks Lehnsherr’s concentration, leaving the missiles to crash into the sea. Xavier’s inadvertent sacrifice saves the day, and allows their relationship to stay in that familiar frenemy zone.

X-Men: First Class splits the mutants
It’s clear Lehnsherr and Xavier’s philosophical disputes will prevent them from working together in all but the most dire of circumstance — more on those later — and so the pair split up, each taking different groups of mutants with them.

Several of Shaw’s underlings –– Tempest (Zoë Kravitz), Azazel (Jason Flemyng), and Riptide (Álex González) –– follow Lehnsherr. Most crucially, so does Raven Darkhölme/Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), who had grown up a foster sibling of Xavier’s but finds herself ideologically drawn to Lehnsherr. Throughout the film, Xavier shows some discomfort with her natural, scaly blue-skinned form, which she reads as a preference that she assimilate by using her shape-shifting powers to appear as a human. Lehnsherr, on the other hand, states his (meme-worthy) preference for her original form during the film, and his insistence that she not apologize for that which makes her unique wins her over.

Xavier, meanwhile, returns to the family mansion with a small group of mutants, including Hank McCoy/Beast (Nicholas Hoult), intent on founding the school that will bear his name. He also has an ally in MacTaggert, who swears not to reveal anything she knows about the mutants to her CIA bosses, but the film implies that Xavier wipes her memory regardless.

X-Men: First Class failed to set up its sequel
And so the stage would seem to be set for the rest of the new X-series: two mutant leaders, two rival factions, most of late 20th century history to play around with.

It didn’t quite work out that way. The sequel, X-Men: Days of Future Past, picked up only some of what First Class put down in adapting the famous storyline from the comics. A portion of it is set in the future, where mutants are relentlessly hunted by an unstoppable Sentinel army that they determine can only be stopped by sending Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) back to the year 1973. When he arrives, he finds much has changed in the intervening 11 years. Xavier’s school has already shuttered, Xavier and McCoy take a serum that suppresses their mutant abilities and allows Xavier to walk again, and Lehnsherr is being held in a government prison for assassinating John F. Kennedy. Many of the secondary mutants from the first film don’t even appear. The two sides of the conflict have each fallen apart before the war can even begin. Instead they join forces to combat the threat from the future, until such a time as Magneto decides to go rogue in a way that suits his own agenda.

In this sense, the series — including the two subsequent sequels, X-Men: Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix – mostly focused on the pair’s relationship in periods of tentative alliance while facing a greater threat, rather than a conflict with a personal affinity at its center. Perhaps those little-loved latter films would have been better letting them fight amongst themselves.

X-Men: First Class Review and Ratings

Movie Name Stars Review
X-Men: First Class (2011) Rupak Mukherjee 2 Disappointing – Over Rated. This movie started well for me but fell through midway and I simply did not feel eager enough to continue watching it, like OK, will see the next half some other time. The simple reason is that it was not offering me anything more than the other X-Men movies I saw, other than the fact that they were trying their best to conjure up a credible prequel. I was kind of surprised to see the high ratings it got and felt like the superhero comic strip movies get rated higher than they should be (another good example being Avengers), as if this particular genre loving audience is still in the hangover mode and liking the same old wine in new bottles. I am eager to see something refreshingly new like it was when this Iron Man first came on screen or the Ant-Man, though not well made with a weak script, but still worth an effort. For me the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man trilogy by Sam Raimi still stands out the best superhero franchise till date. Nolan’s Dark Knight series I don’t even consider here, that’s a totally different league. For X- Men: First Class, it gets a 5/10 from me.
X-Men: First Class (2011) Justin Halladay 5 I love this movie. You can really feel the emotions of some of the characters. This film really makes me side with Magneto because his traumatic past. Which brings to the point that it’s nice that the film lets you see the backstory and origins of all the characters. The special effects are top notch it gave me goosebumps watching the awesome scene with Magneto using his magnetic field manipulation powers. I know I’m no expert reviewer but hey just wanted to share my love for the movie. X-Men Days of Future Past is also superb give them both a watch.
X-Men: First Class (2011) R.B. OO7 5 This one should’ve come out before the first X-Men movie as it’s the one which shows the first team of Mutants. It is based on the time nobody knew that mutants exist and shows what happened after they did. It explores the origin of Professor X and explores the tragic backstory of Magneto and explains why he’s like that. Though in this movie he’s more of a hero than a villain and became at the ending. For the acting stuff, I don’t have any complaints. Another thing I liked about this film is that the film’s PG-13 but, it crosses almost every boundary of it. Like every scene of Zoe Kravitz was 🔥🔥🔥. And at the beginning when Morila enters that pub for the investigation. I was thinking is this PG-13? This film has a lot better story than Last Stand, Dark Phoenix and Apocalypse and it knew what it was doing. It has also a compelling villain who feels strong though I think his death would have been better. I mean a coin. Okay, they wanted to set up Magneto as vi)sin for the sequels in this film as they have shown a brotherhood between Charles Xavier and Erick and that’s why it felt emotional though we knew he’s gonna be a villain in the future. Can’t understand Zoe’s character. One time she’s good and in another scene, she joined Shaw. And the character of the beast and others could have been shown more but, I understand that in a 2-hour film you can’t show everything. So, in the end, I would like to give this movie an A+ as it has a lot better story and is a great prequel story.
X-Men: First Class (2011) Puroo Roy 4 Personally I had given up hope for X-Men after the previous two movies. I thought it will just keep beating a dead horse that they have in the name of a plot. But this one takes a good step. It is set in the past, back when the X-Men was formed. Magneto is played by Michael Fassbender this time and he’s actually a better actor than Ian McShaine in my opinion for playing Erik. The opening scene of Erik being taken to the concentration camp and then he’s brought to the operator’s office was chilling. Meanwhile Charles and Raven are also shown to have a better life, which clearly defines the difference between the two upbringings that Professor X and Magneto had. While Charles and Raven had the luxury of choosing to have a good life where they could choose values and ethics, Erik on the other hand never got the chance to do this, and rather had to spend his life looking to revenge the man who killed his parents in front of him. Finally Charles and Erik team up to stop Schmidt, who had teamed up with Emma Frost (finally she made an appearance!), Riptide and Azazel. They also start assembling their team to stop him, and even Wolverine comes for a cameo. Finally the old X-Men team is made, and then while we are still getting attached to the characters, half of them get murdered instantly by Schmidt’s team of mutants. The remaining ones train in an awesome looking montage and get ready to take on Schmidt. This movie also gives a much, much better explanation for Charles being on a wheelchair, unlike Origins which showed him to walk even back then. And this movie also had the most satisfying ending out of all the X-Men movies made to date. The only reason I’m reducing one star is because of how long it took for the good events to take place. Most of the time it just showed Magneto talking around in German and some random strip club events. Other than that I really like this movie. Would definitely watch again.
X-Men: First Class (2011) AR 558 2 X-Men: First Class is a film that gets a lot of credit for “bringing new life” back to the X-Men films and saving the series as a whole. However I gave the film another watch and the film is worse than I remember and has many issues with X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The plot of Shaw and his Hellfire Club attempting to liberate all mutants by starting a nuclear annihilation was rather stupid (I don’t think mutants are nuke-proof). Not to mention having Mystique as Charles Xavier’s adopted sister was just weird since that was never is the previous films and this film really started the trend of Mystique being pushed into the forefront of these films. Also didn’t Magneto make Cerebro in the original films instead of Hank McCoy and the CIA. Not to mention the biggest continuity offense of Xavier being disabled in 1962 while he was shown walking in the 1980s with X-Men the Last Stand. James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, and Nicholas Holt did fine but I felt that the script didn’t give them that much interesting content that the previous films already didn’t tackle aside from Magneto’s (Fassbender) quest for revenge. Also the side characters like Banshee, Havoc, Emma Frost, and others (I can’t even remember their names) didn’t leave much of an impression in me. Not to mention the one character I liked being Darwin (whose power is adapting to not die) is the first to die. Also some of the effects are poor at times especially the Emma Frost in her diamond form and the battleships at the end of the film looked like PS2 graphics. I will say that i liked the music by Henry Jackman, some of the cast, and some of Matthew Vaughn’s direction was good (admittedly the 1960s spy-movie vibe was a good change of pace (and I do like his Kingsman films and it sucks that his Flash Gordon was canned)). In all honesty I would take X3: The Last Stand any-day over this since that film I find more entertaining and it was shorter. So in all i’m not a fan of X-Men: First Class and it’s a strong contender for my least favorite X-Men film.
X-Men: First Class (2011) Emily Wong N/A I loved the occasional, humorous quips so much – James McAvoy (Charles Xavier) and Michael Fassbender (Eric Lehnsherr)’s chemistry onscreen is almost tangible. Some of the CGI is a little iffy, though given it was created eight years ago the creators pulled through quite well with it. Music was great with the tone of the movie. The blood has been mostly averted from the viewers, which realistically doesn’t make much sense, but personally I’m not one for gore so it was alright. Translated subtitles for the different languages (French, Spanish, German) may be needed as a few scenes are done almost completely in those languages. As for ranking, I would place it above the first Avengers movie in plot.
X-Men: First Class (2011) RICKY COHEN 5 oh this is my favorite part it was interesting to see how it all began in this wonderful saga and about Magneto’s childhood in general it is very hyper interesting I like both Charles and Wolverine, And Magneto and besides, the hero who survived the Nazi concentration camp, Magneto has his own philosophy in relation to to people who despise mutants, that’s just for that you can respect him or not love it as you like. An excellent film Yes, the whole X-Men saga is simply amazing, wonderful, interesting at any age, it is not true that they say spiteful and envious people, and all sorts of mischief-makers that this is a children’s series of films, Absolutely not true. I am already under 30 years old and still look, but many 40 and 50 look and do not recognize, and they also throw mud at all the X-Men, secretly look at their homes and throw mud at people in bars, etc. Such people and not fans are generally unfit to listen to them.
X-Men: First Class (2011) kenneth minear 4 the xmen this time are first introduced with new great actors playing the roles. everyone’s origins are explained mainly xavier and magneto and how they came to form the xmen and start their school for mutants. this time they go after kevin bacon a energy absorbing mutant and the murderer of magneto’s mother with great astounding results. movie plays out like a soap opera at times and can drag in parts but if you’re a diehard of this franchise it’s well more than well worth your time. a 8 out of 10.
X-Men: First Class (2011) Sarah Petree 5 This movie is very good. The casting was amazing and they really can efficiently convey emotion. The plot is very interesting and it tells their story very well (especially Magneto). The end scene in my opinion is my favorite part, showing how the best of friends can become the worst of enemies. The CGI is pretty good, looking pretty real but could be better but hey, it’s a 2011 movie. 9/10 (loved the Wolverine cameo)
X-Men: First Class (2011) RAD1979 4 A step up from the last film First Class reboots the franchise while keeping established plot points from the original trilogy. Fassbender is awesome as Magneto and probably the best part of the film. Kevin Bacon is good as Sebastian Shaw and James McAvoy really fits the role of Charles Xavier(I just wish he had gone bald for the role). My biggest complaints are not having the original 5 XMen and Mystiques connection to Xavier. Other then that it is a good film and gets the franchise going in the right direction.
X-Men: First Class (2011) Sara Thomas 4 I actually really liked it and I like how James McAvoy plays Professor X. I just see him fit that role perfectly. I also love hoe compassionate he is. Only reason I’m reducing one star is strip clubs, like why do people need to put nudity in a movie??? Anyways I enjoyed how the characters were portrayed and great acting.
X-Men: First Class (2011) Jacurus Zenris 5 This movie is fantastic, I think it is a masterpiece. I don’t give 10/10s out often, but I gave this movie my 3rd one. X-Men: First Class is funny in a couple more lighthearted scenes, but those scenes end with some very emotional stuff, just like the rest of the movie. There are some truly beautiful scenes in this film, I won’t say them here because I don’t want to spoiler it for anyone who hasn’t seen it, but all I can say is, watch this movie.
X-Men: First Class (2011) ailene wu 5 i thought this film was SO well executed. everything worked and linked back to all the other xmen movies we know and love — they highlighted the bond that both charles and erik formed and also the struggle between their core values. the small additions of them playing chess together, how charles ended up in the wheelchair and the way that mystique learned to accept herself + ended up on erik’s side were extremely subtle and nostalgic. defs recommend!
X-Men: First Class (2011) Manoj kumar 4 I still remember watching in Cinema Huge Fan of the X-Men series But Wolverine wasn’t in it. Nice beginning of how Charles graduated from University and starting finding fellow Mutant’s. Erik on another hand wants to bring down Sebastian Shaw who is evil and wants to bring war. Alex as havock is cool and so are a few others. Moira wants to bring Peace which results to almost ending the mutants in Cuba. Erik as Magneto manages to stop the attack and diverting back to the ship’s where it came from. Good 1 time watch
X-Men: First Class (2011) Amit Sharma 4 One of the best X-Men movie ever. This movie gets unnecessary hate. The action sequences, Story, dialogues are superb. Action sequences will keep you on the edge. The movie feels slow in mid way but pickups amazingly well in last 30 minutes. Background Score is well composed and goes well with every scene. Cinematography is the highlight of the movie. Overall a nice movie to watch, if you stop comparing it with previous Xmen series. Ratings:7.5/10
X-Men: First Class (2011) Spencer Kissack, Author. 2 Recommended score: 5/10 Fassbender is quite brilliant at times, I have to say. Everyone else, hmmm, they didn’t convince me in their roles, some sticking out like bad sore thumbs more than others. Mystique doesn’t move anywhere near as well as she used to when Rebecca played the character. Mystique used to be convincing. Not anymore. & that’s the start of the issue for me; the first film way back when, was brilliant, hungry, original. This has a money making feel to it, passion lost, all gone down the painting by numbers route in my opinion.
X-Men: First Class (2011) Draven Kirk 5 THIS MOVIE IS FANTASTIC it has action its serious it has some comedy it also brought in some characters people didnt know alot about like Azaziel and many others. The actors also did a fantastic job like Lucas Till as Havoc all the actors fit the roles sure its a little cheesy and beast looks retarded almost the whole time but other than those facts this movie is great.
X-Men: First Class (2011) CraZy dragon Studios 4 8.5/10 just breathe new life into the X-Men franchise after two embarrassingly bad films X-Men the last stand and X-Men origins wolverine x-Men franchise needed a messiah deceive them in the Messiah they got X-Men first class this film is excellent and easily one of the best X-Men films ever the actors are all great special effects or a little dated but they still look great the make up is honestly terrible but they’re trying you’re not ending it just gives me chills every single time what is this movie perfect no I already said the make up is horrible
X-Men: First Class (2011) Han Dev 4 This is a pretty good movie. The acting is good (Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy are definitely the highlights), the action sequences are good, there are some funny moments, it has a good sense of style, and I like how it explores Magneto’s backstory. My criticisms are that there’s some wonky CGI, and the characters Darwin, Banshee, Angel and Havok are boring (I didn’t care about Darwin’s death). As for the plot, it’s alright.
X-Men: First Class (2011) Fayaz Creations 5 This movie is one of the most amazing and exciting movies of all time! I liked this movie so much! I liked James Mcavoy for playing Professor Charles Xavier very much! James Mcavoy was great in this movie! I have no words to describe how perfect and amazing this movie is! You should definitely consider watching this!
X-Men: First Class (2011) Andre Garza 4 This movie is good, ironically enough the first class of X-men are kind of “b-movie” in terms of acting but it doesn’t kill the movie. The movie’s main characters Professor X and Magneto are the best part and as long as the main characters are done well that’s all that matters. Which begs the question why was this even called X-men: First Class, to which I respond. “I don’t know, just enjoy the good things” 7/10
X-Men: First Class (2011) MaD dOg 4 this movie is one of my favorite x-men films establishing the relationship of the charles, eric and the rest of the cast.I think it just did that in a great way. But the bad parts were mainly the beast make up but in the future they change that and it looks pretty good. overall a good, fun movie to watch!
X-Men: First Class (2011) Hortano Killi 5 Very underrated movie, my favorite of all the X-Men films. Fassbender really nailed Magneto for me and Kevin Bacon was great as Sebastian Shaw. A super fun movie, maybe now with the multiverse they will bring them into the MCU – I hope so.
X-Men: First Class (2011) EightNickel151 N/A Nice prequel to the movies! During the Cold War, A young mutant named Charles Xavier meets another mutant named Erick Lessherr. Together they foam a team called the X-Men to help fight the Cold War. As the story goes on, Erick becomes more darker until he became Magneto and paralyzed Charles which requires him to use a wheelchair. The quote in the movie is Erick: Excuse me, I’m Erick Lessher. Charles: Charles Xavier. Wolverine: Go F*** yourself! Can the X-Men help the Americans in the Cold War? Will Erick become evil forever? Can Charles save his friend, Erick? Find out in the movie.
X-Men: First Class (2011) Mary Ann Ramos 2 First time to give a review and a disclaimer, I’m not expert at this kind of movies. But I’ve watched Avengers series and Spiderman series and this one is by far the most disappointing super hero series for me. Nothing worth noting specially in the fight scenes and somehow overly dramatic for me (maybe I just have gotten used to iron man’s humor). Don’t know if im gonna like the other X-Men movies but im losing hope that I will. Tho i haven’t seen wolverine yet since he’s not in here.
X-Men: First Class (2011) Akash Kumar 3 X-Men films always had the potential for being great in showing conflict and power. X-Men: First Class proves it with brilliant acting especially from McAvoy and also good directing and character development. First Class might be the best X-Men movie so far.
X-Men: First Class (2011) Frosty Pizza Man 4 Great film! Interesting story. Not my favourite X-Men film, but I think it still tells an awesome part of the story. I even like how the earlier X-Men decades (in terms of the X-Men film series) seem to show how Magneto isn’t actually a villain, but rather a dark hero.
X-Men: First Class (2011) AJ 4 This movie reboots the X-Men franchise. It has James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence, but the best part is the scene with Hugh Jackman nas the Wolverine. Kevin Bacon plays the antagonist very well. The movie also explains how Professor X & Magneto became frenemies.
X-Men: First Class (2011) Morgoth Bauglir N/A Pretty cool reboot Technically it’s a prequel, but a nice idea Really appreciate the cold war angle too The new actors, esp Fassbinder and McAvoy bring some much needed charm to the X men verse The CGI is impressive as well Rating : 8/10
X-Men: First Class (2011) Aliza Alexeev 5 I simply love it. Honestly the whole end scene on the beach got me cryingg, magneto’s “I’ve been at the mercy of men ‘just following orders’, never again.” And then charles 😭 i dont wanna spoil but if yk yk.
X-Men: First Class (2011) Jay Wyu 1 I wanna give it a two but… I can’t. I thought it was even worse than X Men Origins. Totally stupid and not interesting until much later on and even then, MEH! I am blown away that this film got such high reviews. Absolutely not at all worth it to me or my wife.
X-Men: First Class (2011) Wyatt McVay 4 It was a great movie but it had some complex problems to it. And the inappropriate scenes with Emma Frost and Angle were not needed at all. Still, pretty good movie.
X-Men: First Class (2011) Andrew Gary Walters 2 Least favorite X-Men movie. Slow-moving story and lack of character development left me unconnected to the story and wished they could have made it a shorter movie. I think the merit of the movie is in showing you how the X-Men were formed, but as I said, the characters didn’t really develop in this film, they finish more or less as they started, so the genesis of it all could have been summed up by saying “and there they were.”
X-Men: First Class (2011) Don West N/A This was an amazing movie. One of the best X-Men I’ve ever seen. Just wow how the heroes meet and the action it’s all great.
X-Men: First Class (2011) Olaiya Omodunni 5 Nothing excites young people more than action but if you would like a little history thrown in while entertaining with some popcorn, this would be the perfect movie. Also, phenomenal cast and outstanding performances.
X-Men: First Class (2011) Anurita Chakraborty 5 This is an amazing movie. It is a must watch. It’ll keep you glued to your seats. The full cast has done a splendid job.
X-Men: First Class (2011) Ajay Jaura N/A Very nice best science fiction action film all characters brilliant and storyline very different against x men to x men 4 i like this film matthew vaugn superb director in hollywood i salute your direction for x men first class and kingsman film series
X-Men: First Class (2011) Journie Spiegel 4 I loved it! Its one of my all time favorites! I love the friendship between Charles and Erik they are good friends
X-Men: First Class (2011) Velummylum Thevakumar 5 I am an all time fan of super heroes movies, and X Men is my favorite movie. I never missed a single movie. Fantastic.
X-Men: First Class (2011) Dorotea Alijević 5 To be honest this movie could have been mutch better … the only problem I have is that the Vilan was lame that Sebastian Shaw dude…meh , and another thing I would change is the amount of the new mutants they wore searching for … but I still love it and I think it’s a 4/5
X-Men: First Class (2011) ravi N/A This movie has an outstanding story, beautiful play, excellent actors who fully filled their places beautifully… I love each n every character n magneto is my favourite…
X-Men: First Class (2011) Lavarsh Ranchan RM 5 BEST XMEN MOVIE IN THE FRANCHISE! Tbh it is the best with amazing back story and stands out as the best emotional and strong x men movie!
X-Men: First Class (2011) Christo Alphonse Joshy N/A The movie is a disappointing in its pacing, but it outshines the previous ones (The Last Stand and Origins: Wolverine) with freshness, lighter tone, new actors who can handle the old ones, screenplay, 60s and 70s mood, style and humor.
X-Men: First Class (2011) Laurie SicardAskey 3 McAvoy called Erik the wrong name not once, not twice but three times but it went unnoticed presumably. What came into my sordid mind after X became paralysed was who was the volunteer to wipe his bottom after he went to the toilet. Yes, I know, but I have to put up with my mind 24/7 and it isn’t easy.
X-Men: First Class (2011) omniface omniface 4 forgive me for not making this one a 5 star rating as i hardly remember it overall a decent movie with decent action cons – poor plot – similar characters to other movie – too much of an alien them – magneto was not much of a villain, adding in the comics pros – great graphics – great heroes – amazing music – very good writing ironically – good beginning either way despite its cons it was at least a 4 star worthy movie written by yuehan
X-Men: First Class (2011) Levi Evans 1 Disaster! All 5.Watched all. Can’t compare to Dark Knight can’t compare to any 3 or 4 part movies.I am also amazed and totally astonished as the rest of you with the high ratings and reviews.

X-Men: First Class (2011) Cayto Shephard 1 The movie was being racist with the black guy when the guy was talking about slavery he looked at him and he died by getting a fire ball thrown at him and his power is he adapts from anything like if you got thrown into the water he wouldn’t drowned he would get gills or throws into North Pole or a place like that he would turn into fire
X-Men: First Class (2011) Jamie K 2 I loved it EXCEPT for the APPALLING scene with people falling out of the sky. I personally didn’t lose a loved one in the 9/11 attacks, but I do remember the views of people falling and jumping out of the towers, and can only imagine the horror of the families of those who did, having to watch that horribly insensitive scene in this movie.
X-Men: First Class (2011) Megan webb 5 All X men flims are amazing …. But is is more amazing because I like the cast of this movie Michael Fassbender is the best ❤️❤️❤️
X-Men: First Class (2011) Iker Hernandez 5 Love it. The story was simple yet very complex and the writing for each character is phenomenal
X-Men: First Class (2011) Matthew Mussett N/A With a powerful script, skilled direction and decent performances from its cast, this film is a welcome instalment that redeems the franchise’s former glory.
X-Men: First Class (2011) A.J. Williams N/A two best villains theme are joker’s theme in the dark knight (i’m a dog chasing cars) and magneto’s theme (Frankenstein’s Monster). I think it would be interesting if they switch songs these song so joker’s theme would be magneto’s theme. And magneto’s theme would be joker’s theme
X-Men: First Class (2011) Kokichi Oma 5 OMG this movie was so good it was the first x men movie I have watched and I loved it and start watching x men really good you should definitely watch it

X-Men: First Class (2011) Donell Williams 5 I saw someone who did 2 stars and I was SHOCKED this movie is so good that the only other x men movie that can top this is Deadpool or Logan

X-Men: First Class (2011) Shaw Cavanagh 5 I love each of the characters and how they are all different in their own way and the acting is great in my opinion
X-Men: First Class (2011) Meki Thomas N/A In my opinion it think it was pretty awesome getting to see the story on how the x men came to be grate movie
X-Men: First Class (2011) Punyae Bhatia 4 Although not as good as the others, it still somehow fits into the overall story with action-packed squences, character origins such as Mystique and Charles. Overall, good.
X-Men: First Class (2011) LILY MORRIS 5 I like the x men movies and this movie helps with Magneto’s back story and tells us why he dislikes regular people.
X-Men: First Class (2011) Sourav Shirolkar 5 This movie, it’s soundtrack, it’s plot is fantastic. A milestone in the X-Men Universe. A masterpiece.

X-Men: First Class (2011) jude ! N/A It was truly amazing. I loved how the movie showed the relationship between Charles and Erik.
X-Men: First Class (2011) rock lee N/A i remeber when this movie first came out i saw the trailer for it didnt like it but some got the courage do go see in theaters and it won me over compeletly its definetly not the best x-men movie it is a pretty decent x-men movie if i had to rate it i would give it 7/10
X-Men: First Class (2011) Boy’s Toys 5 Every fiction fact with human touch. Brilliant movie. One thing more background score. Fabulous.
X-Men: First Class (2011) Saikat Roy N/A Absolutely good story telling x-men movie starting the decade with new genre of actors in,really first class.
X-Men: First Class (2011) Chase Chapman 1 The director of this movie was clearly not at all aware of the true abilities of the characters he is working with. Any true fan of the comics would notice an immense amount of flaws.
X-Men: First Class (2011) Birdie W-Z 5 I am soooooo ‘in it’. Damn fine. Thank God I’m a country girl. -M.
X-Men: First Class (2011) Suleman Balwar N/A This is the story of the X-Men, how Xavier made the X-Men, how he loss his legs and how the Eric (Magneto) and Xavier (Professor X) become friend and Rival During the Cold War, fellow mutants Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr join forces with other mutants to save humanity from a nuclear attack and a possible world war.
